DEPARTMENT OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH.

THE COUNTY BOARDS OF HEALTH (GENERAL REGULATIONS) (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1925.

To every County Board of Health; and to all whom it may concern:

WHEREAS I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the Poor Relief (Ireland) Acts, 1838 to 19l4, as adapted by the Adaptation of Enactments Act, 1922 , the Local Government (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1923 , and of every County Scheme made under or in pursuance of the said last-mentioned Act, did, by the County Boards of Health (General Regulations) Order, 1924, make and prescribe rules and regulations with respect to the meetings and proceedings of County Boards of Health, the appointment and duties of officers, and the government and management of county institutions:

AND WHEREAS I deem it expedient to amend Article 34 of the said Order with respect to the qualifications of the Matron of a County Home:

NOW THEREFORE I, the Minister for Local Government and Public Health, in exercise of the powers vested in me by the Acts aforesaid, and of all other powers in this behalf enabling me, do, by this my Order, order and declare as follows, that is to say:—

1. Sub-article (2) of Article 34 of the County Boards of Health (General Regulations) Order, 1924, shall be amended by the addition thereto of the following proviso:—

Provided that the Minister may, if he thinks fit, dispense with this requirement in any case where the Board of Health appoint a person to fill the office of Matron of the County Home in pursuance of Article 30 of this Order.

2. This Order may be cited as the County Boards of Health (General Regulations) (Amendment) Order, 1925.
