MERCHANT SHIPPING. FEES.

The Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order, 1925, dated 6th April, 1925, made by the Minister for Industry and Commerce under the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894.

1. In pursuance of the powers conferred on him by the Merchant Shipping Act, 1894 (57 & 58 Vict., c. 60), and of any other power in that behalf, the Minister for Industry and Commerce hereby determines the sums specified in the Schedule hereto as the fees to be paid in respect of the surveys of emigrant ships.

2. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Order, 1925.

THE SCHEDULE.

FEES FOR SURVEY OF EMIGRANT SHIPS.

Ships holding a passenger certificate:—

For an ordinary survey, not involving more than 2 visits by the Surveyor, provided the inspection is made before the vessel leaves the vicinity of the docks ... ...

£8

For a special survey ... ... ...

£10

For a special survey requiring unusual attention ... ... ... ... ...

£12 or upwards with a maximum of £15.

Ships not holding a passenger certificate:—

The fee as prescribed above and an additional fee being that prescribed for a passenger steamer's certificate.
