THE COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 4) ORDER, 1924.

The following Order, viz.:—The Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 4) Order, 1924, No. 10 of 1924, has been made by the Executive Council.

THE COURTS OF JUSTICE ACT, 1924 (COMMENCEMENT) (No. 4) ORDER, 1924.

No. 10 of 1924.

WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 2 of the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924), that that Act shall come into operation on such day or days as may be fixed therefor by any Order or Orders of the Executive Council, and that different days may be fixed for the commencement of the Act for different purposes,

AND WHEREAS it is expedient that the said Act should come into operation on the 16th day of August, 1924, for the purpose of Part III of the said Act, and for the purpose of Part IV of the said Act in so far as that Part relates to the District Court,

NOW, THE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL, in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred on them by the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (No. 10 of 1924), and of every and any other power them in this behalf enabling, do hereby order as follows:—

1. This Order may be cited as The Courts of Justice Act, 1924 (Commencement) (No. 4), Order, 1924. No. 10 of 1924.

2. The Interpretation Act, 1923 (No. 46 of 1923), applies to the interpretation of this Order in like manner as it applies to the interpretation of an Act of the Oireachtas.

3. The 16th day of August, 1924, is hereby fixed and appointed as the day on which the Courts of Justice Act, 1924 , shall come into operation for the following purposes, that is to say:—

(a) The purpose of Part III of the Act, and

(b) the purpose of Part IV of the Act so far as that Part relates to the District Court.
