No. 526.ORDER OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNICAL INSTRUCTION FOR IRELAND.

IMPORTATION OF DOGS (IRELAND) ORDER OF 1902, AMENDMENT ORDER OF 1922.

(Dated 13th February, 1922).

The Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland, by virtue and in exercise of the powers in them vested under the Agriculture and Technical Instruction (Ireland) Act, 1899, the Diseases of Animals Acts, 1894 to 1914, and of every other power enabing them in this behalf, hereby order as follows:—

1 Exclusion of Dogs brought from the Isle of Man.

1. Unless and until the Department otherwise order, the Importation of Dogs (Ireland) Order of 1902 Amendment Order of 1918 (No. 2) shall be read and have effect as if Article 1 of that Order applied also to dogs brought to Ireland from the Isle of Man.

2 Landing of Dogs in Ireland may be permitted.

2. Notwithstanding anything in the provisions of the Importation of Dogs (Ireland) Order of 1902 Amendment Order of 1918 (No. 2) as amended by this Order, any dog from Great Britain, from the Channel Islands, or from the Isle of Man, may be landed in Ireland under the authority of a permit in that behalf previously obtained from the Department, and subject to such conditions as may be prescribed in such permit.

3 Applications for Permits.

3. Each application for a permit under this Order should be addressed to

Department of Agriculture and Technical Instruction for Ireland,

(Veterinary Branch),

Dublin,

and should be made at an adequate interval prior to the proposed date of importation of the dog or dogs to which the application relates, so as to afford time for such enquiries as the Department may deem necessary before coming to their decision as to whether the permit applied for may be granted.

4 Short Title and Construction.

4. This Order may be cited as the Importation of Dogs (Ireland) Order of 1902 Amendment Order of 1922, and shall be read as one with the Importation of Dogs (Ireland) Order of 1902 Amendment Order of 1918 (No. 2).
