Commencement and payment of judicial salaries.

2. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in any Act of Parliament, the judicial salary of every judge in the United Kingdom shall begin from the date of his appointment as judge, and not before, and shall accrue due from day to day during the time of his continuance in office, and shall be payable at such intervals not exceeding three months as may be from time to time determined by the Treasury.
