Pilots to be appointed.

IX. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That it shall and may be lawful to and for any corporation, or number of persons who are empowered by any law now in force to erect a ballast office in any city, town, or county of a town, in this kingdom, to erect an office in any of the said cities, towns, or counties of towns respectively, for appointing a sufficient number of skilful pilots to take charge of ships or vessels trading to the ports of any of the said cities, towns, or counties of towns respectively, and to make and enforce such regulations respecting the appointment and conduct of such pilots as are authorized by any law now in force respecting the harbour and port of Dublin.
