Watchmen by night under their controul.

constables in turns to set watch at 8 till 7 from 1st Nov to 1st Feb. to 1st May at 9 till 6: to 1st Aug. at 10 till 5; to till Nov. at 9 till 6.

III. And be it further enacted by the authority aforesaid, That the watchmen in the night shall be under the inspection and controul of the said supervisors or directors, the inspectors and the constables of the respective parishes; which said constables in their turns are hereby required to set and place their watch at eight o’clock in the night exactly, and continue their watch till seven in the morning from the first day of November to the first day of February, and from the first day of February to the first day of May at nine o’clock, and to continue their watch till six in the morning, and from the first day of May to the first day of August at ten o’clock, and to continue their watch till five in the morning, and from the first day of August to the first day of November at nine o’clock, and to continue their watch till six in the morning, in every year.
