Confirmation of letters patent, etc., to town of Youghal.

XXI. Also, at the request of the Commons. Whereas the town of Youghal is the greatest safeguard and defence of all the parts around it, and the King’s laws had and used in the said town. Whereupon the premises considered: It is ordained enacted and established by authority of the said Parliament, that all manner of letters patent, grants, franchises privileges, confirmations, and all things comprised in the said letters patent, to the Sovereign, bailiff, portreeve and commons, or to be Mayor, bailiff, portreeve and commons, by our sovereign lord the King that now is, or any of his progenitors, ancestors or predecessors, made or granted in any manner, be accepted, approved ratified and confirmed in all points.
